DTF Transfers for Custom Tumblers and Apparel

UV-DTF transfers are the production method for businesses that apply branding in-house. Here is how to order them and what to expect when you integrate them into your workflow.

Some businesses do not want finished products shipped to them — they want the branded elements so they can apply them to their own inventory. A tumbler company that sources blank powder-coated tumblers and applies logos in-house. A promotional products reseller that needs to brand hundreds of pieces across multiple clients without waiting for every order to go through full production. A swag team at a company that wants to apply the same logo to coolers, cups, and laptops all in one afternoon. UV-DTF transfers are built for that use case.

How the In-House Application Model Works

You order the transfer sheets. We print them and ship them to you. You apply the transfers to your products on your timeline. For UV-DTF specifically — the peel-and-stick format used for hard surfaces — no heat press is required. Peel the backing, align the transfer, press with your thumb or a squeegee for about sixty seconds, peel the carrier film. The design is on the surface. The whole process takes under two minutes per piece.

This model works well when you have an existing product inventory and want to brand items on demand rather than placing finished-goods orders and waiting for production and shipping each time. You keep a stock of transfer sheets, apply them as orders come in, and ship same-day.

UV-DTF vs. Standard DTF: Which One Do You Need?

UV-DTF is for hard surfaces: tumblers, hard hats, coolers, laptops, helmets, equipment cases, smooth metal and plastic. It is a peel-and-stick process — no heat required for application. This is the format available through our shop.

Standard DTF (without the UV) is for fabric: t-shirts, hoodies, hats, tote bags, cotton and poly-cotton blends. Application requires a heat press. If you are producing branded apparel in-house and need DTF transfers for fabric application, note that our current product is the UV format for hard goods specifically — contact us to discuss your apparel production needs.

Gang Sheets for Multi-SKU Production Runs

If you are producing several different branded items — a tumbler logo, a matching hard hat decal in a different size, and a cooler decal at full width — a gang sheet fits all three designs onto one printed film. You submit the layout, we print one sheet, you cut apart the individual transfers and apply them to their respective products. This is more cost-efficient than ordering each design as a separate sheet, particularly when the designs are small and multiple fit comfortably on a single film.

Who Orders This

Promotional products companies that apply branding to sourced blanks. Custom tumbler businesses that buy blank drinkware and finish it in-house. Corporate branding teams managing ongoing merch programs. Event production companies that need to brand venue items the morning of an event. The common thread is in-house control over the application step — they want the prints, not the finished goods.

Surface Compatibility Checklist

Before ordering transfers, verify your target surface. Hard plastic, metal, glass, and smooth painted surfaces work. Soft-touch coatings, heavily textured surfaces, and porous materials do not bond reliably. If you are unsure, order a single sheet to test on your specific material before committing to a large production run.

Ordering and Lead Time

Single sheets are available for sampling. Bulk pricing applies at 50 pieces, with tiers at 50, 100, and 500. Most in-house production operations order at 100+ pieces to maintain a working stock. Production ships within 3 to 5 business days from Las Vegas. Rush is available — contact us with your deadline before placing the order.
