This policy describes how The Lasercraft Company (“we,” “us,” “our”) — operating at thelasercraft.co — collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website or place an order.
What we collect
When you place an order or contact us, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and shipping address
- Payment information — processed entirely by Shopify's PCI-compliant checkout; we never see full card numbers
- Any artwork, logos, or text files you upload for your order
- Order history and correspondence related to your orders
When you visit our site, we collect standard analytics data (pages visited, referring URL, browser type) via Shopify's built-in analytics and any cookies you consent to.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Process and fulfill your order
- Send order confirmations, proof approvals, and shipping notifications
- Contact you if there is a question about your artwork or order
- Send review requests after delivery (you can opt out at any time)
- Send marketing emails if you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Retain your design files to make future reorders faster
Email marketing and consent
We use an explicit opt-in system for marketing emails. When you subscribe via a signup form on our site, we record your consent, email address, and the date of opt-in in our secure database. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing hello@thelasercraft.co.
We do not add you to marketing lists without your consent. Order confirmation, proof, and shipping notification emails are transactional and are not affected by marketing opt-out. Review request emails have a separate opt-out — use the unsubscribe link in any review request email.
Third-party services
We use the following services to operate our business. Each has its own privacy practices:

Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and, with your consent, to measure how visitors use it and to show relevant advertising.

Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland, and California are shown a consent banner on their first visit. You can change your choices at any time by clearing your cookies or contacting us at hello@thelasercraft.co. US visitors outside California have analytics active by default; you can opt out by emailing us.
Your rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information — we do not sell it

Data retention
We retain order records for three years for business and tax purposes. Design files and proofs are kept on file to enable reorders — you can request deletion by emailing us. Marketing consent records are kept until you unsubscribe.
Security
Payment information is handled by Shopify's PCI-compliant checkout. We use Supabase with row-level security for design file and order data storage. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS.
